Credit upgrades would be weapon levels, drop rarity, both damage stats and certain RNG items (eg. icepick till you get 33+%). Some Max MP also won't hurt, regardless of class. Flurbos items don't affect dungeons in any way, but you'll definitely want the talent books and at least 1 set of Rex rings, maybe even more.

If you mainly want to do afk gains, then build accordingly (boost active combat skills, sharpened axe, guilded sword, afk combat gain skills). If you want to keep one character built for active play, just invest all your points in damage and passive damage boosts, rather than active skills.i would say a farmer or woodcutter. your first character cant do both and you have to focus on progession for him right now, so you will need someone to get the wood or the mobs atleast. doesnt really matter which class. mage can be turned into a woodcutter, archer can be a mob hunter and money maker and warrior can be your future fisherman.
The journeyman class is, as the game calls it, the "secret fourth class", which shares most of its' attributes with the beginner class, having both accuracy and damage rely on the luck stat. Warriors - mining. Archers - smithing. Mages - chopping. Even without a subclass, the 2nd tab for these characters will have some talents to pick to boost these skills. That doesn't mean a Warrior can't chop trees, or a Mage can't go mining, just that those mis-matched classes don't have any real bonus for doing it.For example, you feel that more alchemy liquid is more important than one character's farming output; for me that 5th character represents a 25% boost in grinding 100M on all my maps, plus greening all my stacks, plus gathering massive materials for alchemy bubble leveling.
